2. Information We Collect

We follow a principle of data minimisation. We only collect what is required to operate the App and provide the monitoring service.

2.1 Information you provide when logging in

• Username or User ID
• Password (stored in encrypted/hashed form; never in plain text)

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, photographs, contacts, location, payment information, or government identifiers through the App.

2.2 Information generated by the App during use

• Plant and device data you are authorised to view (e.g. inverter readings, energy generation, alarms, sensor values) — this is operational telemetry belonging to the plant owner, not personal data about you
• Basic session information needed to keep you logged in and route requests to the correct plant (such as an authentication token tied to your User ID)

2.3 Information automatically collected for security and reliability

• App version and operating system version
• Approximate timestamps of login and key actions, for audit and security purposes

We do not use advertising identifiers, behavioural tracking, third-party analytics SDKs, or marketing trackers in the App.

3. Permissions Used by the App

Solar LogIQ requests only the minimum Android permissions needed to function:

• Internet access — to communicate with our servers
• Network state — to detect connectivity and show appropriate messages

The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, location (precise or approximate), contacts, calendar, SMS, call logs, photos, files, or any other personal storage.

4. How We Use the Information

We use the information described above only to:

• Authenticate you and maintain your secure session
• Show you the plants, devices, and data your account is authorised to access
• Operate, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability and security of the App and the SCADA platform
• Maintain audit logs as required for SCADA system integrity

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or marketing.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.

We share information only in these limited cases:

• With your organisation: if your account was provisioned by an employer or plant owner, that organisation can see activity on accounts they administer.
• With our hosting and infrastructure providers: who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations, solely to host and operate the App.
• When required by law: to comply with a valid legal process, court order, or lawful government request, or to protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of our users or the public.

6. Third-Party Services

The App is distributed through Google Play. Google Play Services may collect technical data (such as crash reports and app integrity signals) governed by Google's own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

The App does not integrate any third-party advertising networks, social media SDKs, or analytics services.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted communication between the App and our servers using HTTPS/TLS
• Passwords stored using one-way hashing
• Role-based access controls on our servers
• Restricted administrative access on a need-to-know basis

No system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, but we work to maintain industry-standard safeguards consistent with a SCADA-grade platform.

8. Data Retention

We retain account credentials and audit logs for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to meet our legal, contractual, and operational obligations (typically associated with the service agreement between Holmium and the plant owner). Operational plant data is retained according to the agreement with the plant owner.

9. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your Solar LogIQ account and associated personal information at any time by writing to info@holmiumtechnologies.com from the email registered with your organisation, or by asking your organisation administrator to raise the request on your behalf.

Upon a valid request, we will delete or anonymise your personal account information within a reasonable period, subject to any legal or contractual obligation to retain certain records (for example, security audit logs). Operational plant data belongs to the plant owner and is handled per their instructions.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable international laws), you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account information
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority

11. Children's Privacy

Solar LogIQ is a professional tool and is not intended for, marketed to, or used by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has been provided with a Solar LogIQ account in error, please contact us and we will deactivate it.

12. International Users

The App is operated from India. If you access the App from outside India, your information will be processed in India in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable Indian law.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users through the App or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the App after the policy is updated constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
